As one of the former Four Kings of Ginji’s gang, VOLTS, Kazuki knows a great deal of what goes on in Ura Shinjuku. He is proficient at acquiring information on anything and anyone. Ergo, he acts as an Annaiya (Guiding Agent/Informer).
Gentle, courteous, and remarkably intelligent, Kazuki generally has a very pleasant, easygoing nature and bears a great deal of unconditional affection for his friends. He’s also terribly inquisitive, as he seems to have no reservations about eavesdropping on others conversations. Because he’s so feminine in appearance, he’s often perceived to be less formidable than he actually is. But those who recognize him as “Ito no Kazuki” are aware of how cold and merciless he’s capable of being.
As the heir to the Fuchoin clan, Kazuki was due to inherit the Fuchoin Ryu, a fighting style in which the key to mastering lies in the persons femininity. As a child, he was required to wear kimonos, play the koto, etc. in order to become more feminine. However, before his 15th birthday, his whole clan was attacked and murdered by an unknown rival clan and Kazuki was forced to flee along with childhood friend and bound bodyguard, Jubei. He escaped to Mugenjou, per his mother’s last request, and later formed the gang Fuga with members Jubei and Toshiki Uryu. Upon meeting Ginji, Kazuki disbanded Fuga and both he and Jubei became members of VOLTS. Ginji later disbanded VOLTS and left the Mugenjou and Kazuki left not long after. While his exact reasons are still uncertain, it’s quite possibly in relation to his continuing search for his family's murderers.
As previously mentioned, Kazuki’s fighting style is the Fuchoin Ryu. Using koto strings stored in the bells attached to his hair, he can weave many strands together to form a huge spider web, booby trap and entire room with strings, sew shut a persons eyes and mouth, and eavesdrop on a conversation with a single strand. Controlling the strings seems to require little physical contact, as they seem to move at Kazuki’s will. This art is quite versitile and is not limited to just using strings, he can also change the sound of his voice and physical appearance, among other techniques, many of which can be found in several different scrolls.
